ABA Folsom, CA May 27-28, 2000 This past weekend in Folsom, CA over 300 motto's of great ABA BMX racing took place. With temperatures reaching over 100, it made for an even longer day as the best pros in BMX battled it out for the most prestigious place in BMX, the AA pro main. Here is how the DOUBLE A MARKETING riders finished up in the mains. Jamie Staff is trying to switch the European dominance from France to England, and seems to be doing a good job at it. Once again, Mr. Staff was the winner of AA Pro this weekend, stretching out his lead on the ABA pro points. Jamie was also in the Pro Open main on Saturday and placed 5th as well as a 5th in AA on Sunday. Jamie is now focusing on the UCI world championships to be held in July, as is looking to add an another highlight to his best BMX season ever with a rainbow jersey! Jaime's Sponsors include Haro, Adidas, No Fear, Lee Pipes, Answer, Revenge/Champion Nutrition, ODI, Shimano, Kicker, King, Mervyn's, Bob's Stores, Sun/Ringle, Epic, Powerbar, Headlock, Arnette, BMXpros.com, and DV8. Greg Romero is another rider who is bringing the BMX glory back to the good old USA, as he had a great weekend in Folsom. Greg Played runner up to Staff on Saturday in AA, but didn't hold back on Sunday, as He was the winner of AA! With a 1st and 2nd in AA this weekend, Greg has put out the warning that SPD's don't make you the best racer, hard work and determination do! Greg was also in Pro open both days with an 8th on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday. Matt Hadan showed his winning attitude and style this weekend, as the California kid was the winner of Pro Open on Sunday. Matt has been on a winning streak lately, and hopes to carry it through the summer. Robert MacPherson was looking in good in Folsom, and was to be a top contender in the AA main on Saturday. Big Mac placed 2nd in the 1st main, and was winning the 2nd main when he crashed and hurt his back. Robert came back and placed 4th in the last main, but was unable to race on Sunday. Robert placed 4th overall. Look for Robert to be back in action for the 1st Vans Triple crown race in 2 weeks. Thomas is looking to recapture his world champion status from 1998 a the upcoming UCI worlds.
