NBL Silver State Nationals Las Vegas, NV May 6-7

Double A Marketing Pros Win AA both Days!

This past weekend marked the halfway point in the 2000 NBL Pro series race season. With the race not only being filmed for ESPN 2, an UCI International race, and a Sun Ringle holeshot award event, great racing action was a sure thing, which there aren't too many of in Las Vegas. As the AMA Supercross finals were held in Vegas this weekend as well, there was only one place to be..In Las Vegas and in the winners circle, as the Double A Marketing pros in attendance did:

Christophe Leveque felt at home on the Nellis BMX track, as it was jump filled and very technical. He also felt at home on top of the podium for both AA pro and Pro open on Saturday, as he was unstoppable. On Sunday, Christophe raced AA Pro only and finished up a great weekend with a 3rd overall. Christophe is currently among the leaders of NBL pro points and is looking to regain his NBL title. Christophe's sponsors include Specialized/Mountain Dew, Speed Stick, Vans, Powerbar, ATI, Fox, Smith, Pazzaz, Champion Nutrition, BMXpros.com, Troy Lee Designs, , Sun/Ringle, Chainwheels.com and Spanky Tires.

Wade Bootes went to Las Vegas to race his last BMX national before heading off for the UCI world Cup MTB races. Going into Saturday's AA main event, it was apparent that it would be a great battle between Leveque and himself. Wade had to settle for 2nd, but come Sunday, there was no beating Bootes, as he once again took home a AA pro win. Wade's sponsors include Trek, Volkswagen, Oneal, THE, ATI, Oakley, Answer, Vans, KMC, Profile, Rush, Wellgo, Chainwheels.com, Bontrager, BMXpros.com, Powerbar, Marwi, Head Lock, Icon, Velo, and Wrench Force.

Warwick Stevenson looked to be one of the favorite riders in Las Vegas, as he was winning his moto's and easily made the pro open main both days. On Saturday, Warwick bumped with Jason Richardson, as was held back to 7th overall. On Sunday, Warwick was the man, and took the holeshot and the win in Pro Open! Warwick's Sponsors include Diamondback, ATI, Thor, Vans, Answer, Powerbar, Tektro, Sun/Ringle, Revenge/Champion Nutrition, Tioga, Shimano, Alex Rims, Smith, BMXpros.com, and headlock.

Jason Richardson was one of the most consistent rides in Las Vegas as he was in 3 out of 4 mains this weekend. Jason's best finish came on Sunday, as he fought it out and finished 4th in AA pro. Jason also placed 8th in pro Open on Saturday and Sunday. Jason always seems to turn it up on TV day, and has been representing his sponsors well this 2000 season! Jason's sponsors include Answer, ATI, Sun/Ringle, Sonic, Vans, Epic, Boss clothing, Revenge/Champion Nutrition, Kastan, Profile, Spy, Strait Edge, headlock, and Powerbar.

Greg Romero was looking to grab a big result in Vegas, and he did just that as he finished 2nd in Pro open on Saturday. Romero was also in the pro open main on Sunday, and placed 7th. Look for Greg to be in attendance at this upcoming weekend ABA national in North Carolina. Greg's sponsors include GT, Panasonic Shock Wave, WD-40, Tal 5, Shimano, AXO, Vans, Chevy Trucks, Troy Lee Designs, IRC, Lava, Champion Nutrition, ATI, Smith, Head lock, BMXpros.com, Calabasis Cyclery, Core Fitness, Center Of Balance.

Matt Hadan was still riding on a high after his big AA pro win last weekend, and used the momentum to make both mains on Sunday in Las Vegas, The California kid finished an impressive 3rd in pro open and 5th in AA pro. Matt's sponsors include Torker, Troy Lee Designs, Airwalk, Crupi, Head Lock, Tangent, Tioga, Alex, TSG, JNCO, BMXpros.com, Flight Cranks, Powerbar, Rush, ODI, and Revenge/Champion Nutrition.

Thomas Allier had a rough weekend, but still had a shining moment. On Saturday, Thomas had two terrible crashes that would have kept most away from the track, let alone their bikes. With the 3rd AA pro main being a Sun/Ringle holeshot award race (giving a $500 bonus to the rider who was in first just past the first turn) on the line, Thomas fought off his pain and was victorious of the award. Thomas finished 8th overall in AA. Thomas' sponsors include GT, Panasonic Shock Wave, WD-40, Oakley, Dyno, Chevy Trucks, Tal 5, AXO, THE, Vans, Headlock, ODI, Powerbar, BMXpros.com, Lava, Revenge/Champion Nutrition, Shimano, Troy Lee Designs, BMXpros.com, and Beverly Hills Polo Club.
