This weekend: TEAM REDLINE is proud to announce the debut of their new Factory Squad Support Vehicle.
"This new rig is going to blow people away," said Marketing Director Craig "gOrk" Barrette. "By far, it will be the biggest trackside presence that Redline has ever had. The new truck and trailer will be traveling nationwide, promoting Redline at both the national and local levels, along with some stops at alternative venues."
The 38 foot trailer will support the entire SBS family; with brother teams Redline and Torker, and will be driven by AA pro JASON CARNES. "I'm looking forward to getting this baby rolling," commented Carnes as he was handed the keys to Redline's new 200 Ford F-350 Deluxe Crew Cab. "I've been working out on my gas pedal foot and I hope she pops good wheelies," he added.
Carnes, who has been racing for Torker for the past year, has been promoted up to the Redline squad, and with full access to over 25 BMX nationals this year, he's planning on being in a quite a few AA-main events beside his new teammate/fellow Texan JOHN PURSE. Of course, it most likely won't be this weekend; as Jason has his thumb in a cast after having a screw put in it just a week before being hired. And after a hard crash that cracked his collarbone, Purse will most likely sit out the Winternationals.
Along with Redline's new rig, even more major news is a brand new promotional co-sponsorship with NINTENDO POWER magazine; the in-house publication of NINTENDO of North America. The new trailer has been set up with a built-in Nintendo Sports Center, featuring their infamous N-64 game systems and the ever popular Game Boy Color games. Redline will be handing out Nintendo Power magazines to all competitors and spectators, along with a N-64 and GameBoy giveaway at every race they attend.
More in the co-sponsorship news is Redline's agreement with COMPETITION SPECIALTIES; one of the largest suppliers of custom auto parts. Through this deal, the new Redline Dually has been fully decked out from hood to tailgate with many of their high quality line of parts and accessories.
So if you're in Phoenix this weekend for the ABA Winternationals, be sure to stop by the new and improved Redline pits and check out what we've got in store for 2000.
Team Redline 2000 is: JOHN PURSE, JASON CARNES, BUBBA HARRIS, STU THOMSEN, ADAM STRIEBY and PAT MILLER.
Team TORKER 2000 is: MATT HADAN and CLARENCE PERRY.
REDLINE's team sponsors are: ALEX rims, KOOL STOP brakeshoes, TIOGA components, ATI grips, SHIMANO parts, NINTENDO POWER magazine, and FLICK TRIX finger bikes.
