CHRIS HAM's PODIUM STAND
by gOrk

This past weekend, REDLINE's co-sponsored AA-pro CHRIS HAM (he's a Texan, y'know?) went to ABA's Dixieland National to conquer the comp and take on the track. And when it was all said and done by Sunday, HAM-BONE wound up with the best race weekend of his life--three podium finishes (2nd and 3rd in Pro Cruiser, and a very impressive 3rd in AA-pro). For the occasion, we interviewed "Hematoma" Ham himself, to get the skinny...

CHRIS, WE HEAR THE GEORGIA TRACK WAS MADE OF PLAYDOUGH OR SOMETHING?
HAM: "Yeah, it was a soft and rutted track."

HOW WAS THE TURNOUT?
HAM: "Saturday I think there was about 170 motos & Sunday 160 or so. As for the Pros that were there--it was Renalto Silva, Darrin Mitchell, Charles Townsend, Chad Street, Robert Macpherson, Robert Dewilde, Danny Nelson, Sean Dwight, Florent Boutte, John Purse, Kyle Bennett, Andy Contes, John Smart and Warwick Stevenson were all there. So, there was some good comp, for sure. Everyone is hard comp--nobody is easy to beat. Anybody in the class can make the mains, on any given day."

AND YOU WHUPPED UP ON 'EM IN PRO, EH?
HAM: "Saturday I placed 2nd in ProCruiser, and on Sunday I took 3rd in ProCruiser, and then a 3rd in AA-PRO. It was one time for the money. I had a good lap, no contact was made. It was just a clean race."

RIGHT ON! SO HOW COME YOU'RE DOING SO WELL? ARE YOU TRANING LIKE JASON CARNE$ THESE DAYS, OR WHAT?
HAM: "My training has definitely helped me this year. You have train hard to compete at the AA Pro level--I'd like to thank Grant White for helping me with my trainning; both mentally and physically."

SO WHAT'S THE NEXT RACE ON YOUR AGENDA?
HAM: "I will be heading out this Friday June 15th for Salt Lake City, Utah to get my race on!"

COOL DEAL. BEST O' LUCK AT THE VANS TRIPLE-CROWN! LET'S SEE IF YOU CAN SNAG ANOTHER PODIUM!
